Hi Croosaders,

The long-awaited v116 update is finally ready. This update brings heaps of new content, including Phantom, Jett, Azwan & Inner Ability, Character Cards, Golden Temple and updates to all sorts of other ingame content. On the custom front, Cubes and Gachapon Tickets now have highlighted icons when they're on the floor. Loot notifications are sent to players in the map when important boss drops are picked up. Unfortunately, the item blacklist functionality likely won't be ready at the time at the release (but soon). Don't worry about that though; you'll be truly thrilled about the next part: We're introducing Miraculous Chaos Scroll and Chaos Scroll of Goodness, which have been a point of constant debate in recent months. Check Server Changes for detailed information. For all other details regarding the update, check out Taboo's posts below (yes, it's so much that it didn't fit into one post).

The current plan is that the release will happen on July 20th. The server will go down for maintenance around 22:00 UTC, and it will last between one and two hours. Note that both the time and duration may be subject to short notice change.

For those of you who would like to patch their client already, we're providing a pre-patcher (link removed - use the normal client to patch now) in order to do so. Remember to copy your v110 folder before you run it, or else you will lose access to Croosade until the update is live. Alternatively, you can of course have the normal client run you through the patching process, which should be possible shortly after we start the maintenance. Please note that since we had to skip v115 (v116 is basically v115.2, it just fixed a bunch of critical bugs), this update exceeds the maximum patch step of 5 versions, so the client effectively needs to patch twice. Especially on lower end systems this may take a while.

Important note about WZ edits:
Edits to Item.wz and UI.wz will no longer be supported starting with v116 (check out this thread for the reason). Please restore the original files before patching and do not re-apply the changes, or else your client won't start. Effect.wz edits (damage skins etc.) are not affected by this.

As usual, I'd also like to use this opportunity to thank our beta testers for testing the new content and ensuring that there are no major bugs.

This is the last update that will be released in this all-in-one fashion. In the future, we're going to patch the live server as soon as the new version is stable and then incrementally release the new content for the version range we covered with the patch (details here).

Regards,
The Croosade Team

Phantom Artwork_Phantom.jpg
Intro

Hundreds of years ago, Phantom gained fame and fortune by stealing precious treasures from the wealthy. He intentionally left clues at every crime scene so all of his targets would know it was he, the master thief, who had made off with their valuables. Though many tried, no one ever learned his true identity, and many began to believe he was something more than human. He was dubbed “Phantom” by the people.

When attempting to steal the Skaia, a precious jewel rumored to be connected to the power of Empress Aria of Ereve, Phantom ended up falling hopelessly in love with the Empress. The two developed a burgeoning friendship that became more romantic by the day. Instead of attempting to steal the Skaia again, Phantom decided to simply ask Aria for it. Although she found this amusing, she always declined.

Before their romance could deepen, Aria was tricked and killed by an envoy of the Black Mage led by the sinister General Orchid. Devastated by Aria’s death, Phantom offered his help to Freud the Dragon Master, and joined forces with a group of heroes to strike back at the Black Mage. The Five Legendary Heroes were eventually able to defeat the Black Mage and seal him away. Phantom had played his part in protecting the world that Aria had once believed in.

But his victory was not without great sacrifice. Cursed by the Black Mage while sealing him away, Phantom was encased in magical ice for hundreds of years. Eventually, the magic weakened, and Phantom broke free. After hearing rumors that Hilla was the rightful owner of Skaia and heir to the throne, Phantom rushed to Ereve. He stunned the onlookers by proving that Empress Cygnus was the rightful Heir to Empress Aria’s throne and Hilla had deceived them all. Hilla had no choice but to flee, and Phantom has since returned to his personal airship, the Lumiere, to build his strength in preparation for the fight against forces that seek to revive the Black Mage and plunge the world into another age of terror and chaos.

AzwanImg583.png
Story

Azwan is an ancient underground city beneath the Nihal Desert. It was recently rediscovered by the Cygnus Knights following the attempt by its leader, Hilla, to usurp Empress Cygnus' throne.

Hundreds of years ago, Azwan was a beautiful and thriving metropolis. One of its chief shamanesses, the beautiful and powerful Hilla, craved more power and betrayed her city to become a commander under the Black Mage, in exchange for eternal power, youth, and beauty. She took control of Azwan and used necromancy to revive its dead population as minions in her army. She lined the city with giant, magical totems to recapture the souls of her fallen forces so they may be reanimated again.

The obelisk that serves as the entrance to Azwan has recently reappeared in the desert and has come under investigation by the Cygnus Knights. Intrepid adventurers can join the fight, leading forces from Ereve in their battle to defeat Hilla’s army and free the enslaved souls of the citizens of Azwan.

General Info
  • If you are Lv.40 or above, select Fight for Azwan from a Dimensional Mirror, located in most towns.
  • There are four level tiers: Lv.40-79, Lv.80-119, Lv.120-159, and Lv.160-200.
  • There are four modes: Occupy, Attack, Defend, and Supply.
  • The first three modes have four levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Hell.
  • In the first three modes, Cygnus monster minions will spawn to help you.
  • Higher difficulty levels feature more powerful monsters in greater numbers, but you’ll earn more Honor EXP and Azwan coins if you are victorious.
  • The strength and number of monsters you face in solo mode are lower than party mode, since you won’t have teammates to back you up.

Modes: Occupy and Attack Monster_EliteBloodfang.png
  • These modes focus on a tower assault strategy.
  • Stop enemies from progressing left.
  • Destroy the Guardian Tower on the right to win.
  • If enemies reach the left side, the Guardian Tower will recover HP.
  • The Owl Tower drops rocks on you for massive damage. These rocks deal damage without regard to any avoidability or invulnerabilities you might have, so try to take cover while they hover in the air for a moment before dropping.
  • The Guardian Tower uses two powerful beam attacks that will deal damage without regard for any avoidability or invulnerabilities you might have.
  • You can use your Cygnus minions as shields in this situation; if they’re nearby, they’ll take the brunt of the blast instead of you.
  • Watch out for stone statues that drop onto the floor as this means the Guardian Tower is about to use its super attack.
  • Hilla's Monster Guardian will appear at an altar in Hard and Hell modes to make things more difficult for you.
  • Avoid pentacles on the ground when it uses its storm cloud attack.
  • There are some differences between the Occupy mode altars and the Attack mode altars:
    • Altars in Occupy mode have a wider attack range than the ones in Attack mode.
    • Altars in Attack mode have an additional skill that recovers the Guardian Tower’s HP.

Mode: Defense Monster_MegaBallista.png
  • This mode focuses on a tower defense strategy.

All the nx items and hairs that are upcoming ^.^! All in all, a lot of content and community changes in this patch seems to be quite popular all around! woo.
I’m sorry, did I overlook the notes?
Is there no Renegades event? @Heisenberg @Taboo
The Renegades coins were mentioned in Taboo's post.

Pretty sure the Renegades event/shop will be implemented at a later time since it was not mentioned like Legends Awards and should also be tested a bit more so people aren't farming 2-3 MChaos a day.

Why Pirates do not have SP Reset scroll? Especially Thunder Breaker. This ver adds more useful skills to their job, which makes adding SP to sommersault kick and push skill become useless and dumb. I'm so depressed with my TB now.
